Shiv Sena holds vigorous protest against property tax , says “Maharaja Hari Singh” was very sad to see plight of his people

Administration became profiteer, every class affected: Sahni
JAMMU: Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) Jammu and Kashmir unit protested strongly against the government’s decision to impose a property tax on the sons of the land and declared it as anti-people and economic exploitation and burnt an effigy calling the administration a profiteer.
Shiv Sainiks gathered under the leadership of party state chief Manish Sahni near EWS Colony at Roop Nagar and held a strong protest holding placards saying “Stop the economic exploitation of the public”, “Jizya property tax not tolerated”, terming the government’s claim that the poor will not be affected a hollow.
Sahni said that it is in an EWS category colony of Lower Roop Nagar, Jammu and each plot here is 1100-1250 square feet and will attract property tax.
Sahni said that there is no question of rich and poor, every section of Jammu and Kashmir is facing an economic crisis.
People are already troubled by terrorism, economic recession, inflation, and unemployment and the poor people will not be able to bear the burden of property tax, he said.
Sahni appealed to Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, to issue instructions to withdraw the property tax decision, saying that the present administration should refrain from taking decisions like imposing taxes on the public.
Sahni said that the last ruler and pride of Jammu and Kashmir, Maharaja Hari Singh wanted to see the people of his state prosperous and happy, wherever he is today, he must be feeling very sad seeing the plight and plight of the people.
On this occasion President Women Wing Meenakshi Chhibber, General Secretary Vikas Bakshi, Senior Vice President Sanjeev Kohli, President Kamghar Wing Raj Singh, Vice President Balwant Singh, Shashipal, Titu Sehgal, Mangu Ram, Prem Kumar, SK Raina, Karan Kumar, Bittu Bhatt, Sonam  Many leaders and workers including Raj Tilak, Mohit Gupta, Suraj Kumar were present.
