The veteran actor says Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious adaptation, featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash, promises to take audiences into an unexplored cinematic world.

Mumbai, September 19: Veteran actor Soni Razdan has expressed excitement over Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming epic “Ramayana”, describing the film as an experience unlike anything audiences have witnessed before.

The ambitious project stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita and Kannada star Yash as Ravana. The film is being produced by Namit Malhotra’s DNEG and Prime Focus Studios and has been developed on a large international scale.

Speaking to PTI, Razdan said the film’s trailer gave her the impression that the project would offer viewers a fresh cinematic experience. She said she was particularly excited about the possibility of taking audiences into a world they had not experienced on screen previously.

The film has also attracted international creative talent, with Oscar winning composer Hans Zimmer and Grammy-winning composer James Newton Howard associated with its music. Their involvement has added to the anticipation surrounding the project.

“Ramayana” marks another major collaboration for Ranbir Kapoor, who is married to Razdan’s daughter and actor Alia Bhatt. His portrayal of Lord Ram has already generated considerable interest among audiences.

Razdan is also preparing for the release of her upcoming slice-of-life film “Om Ka Hari”, directed by Harish Vyas. The movie features Raghubir Yadav and Ayesha Kapoor in pivotal roles, with Anshuman Jha serving as a co-actor and producer.

Jha also praised the trailer of “Ramayana”, calling it spectacular. He said the Ramayana and Mahabharata hold an important place in Indian history and culture, adding that presenting such a story on a grand scale is an exciting development.

“Om Ka Hari” is scheduled to arrive in theatres on September 18, adding another project to Razdan’s upcoming film slate.
