Teenage Boy Killed in Fire at Seminary in J&K’s Anantnag

Blaze erupts at Darul Aloom on Court Road; authorities launch probe into cause of incident

SRINAGAR, May 12: A 12 year old boy lost his life while three others suffered burn injuries after a fire broke out at a seminary in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Tuesday, officials said.
According to officials, the incident occurred at Faizan Baba Hyder Rishi Darul Aloom located on Court Road in Anantnag, where four students were caught in the blaze and sustained injuries.
The injured were shifted to a hospital for treatment, where one of them, identified as Bilal Ahmad, later succumbed to his injuries. The condition of the other injured boys was not immediately known.
Fire and Emergency Services personnel rushed to the spot and brought the flames under control after a firefighting operation. Officials said the exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and further investigation is underway.
