Mumbai, Aug 22: Fans of The Ba**ds of Bollywood* may have reason to look forward to another season, with writer Bilal Siddiqi revealing that discussions are underway for a possible continuation of the satirical series.
According to Siddiqi, Shah Rukh Khan’s production company Red Chillies Entertainment and streaming platform Netflix are in talks regarding a second season. However, no official confirmation about the renewal has been announced so far.
The series attracted attention for its satirical take on the Hindi film industry and marked the directorial debut of Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan.
Siddiqi has previously praised Aryan Khan’s creative approach, with the first season developing a following among viewers interested in its portrayal of Bollywood’s glamorous yet competitive world.
The possibility of a follow up season has generated renewed interest among fans, particularly because the first instalment combined industry satire with fictional drama and celebrity driven storytelling.
