JAMMU, Mar 6: On March 6, the Jammu and Kashmir government issued an order to transfer and appoint two IAS officers within the Union Territory. Dr. Mandeep Kumar Bhandari, an IAS officer from AGMUT:2001, who was previously awaiting orders of adjustment, has been designated as the Principal Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor. Additionally, he will also take on the role of Chief Executive Officer for the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, in addition to his existing responsibilities.
Meanwhile, Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, an IAS officer from AGMUT:2012 and Administrative Secretary for the Culture Department, who was holding an additional position as the Chief Executive Officer for the Economic Reconstruction Agency, JK, has been transferred to become the Administrative Secretary for the Tourism Department. This appointment relieves Sarmad Hafeez, IAS, of the additional duties he was carrying as the post’s previous holder. Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah will also take on the responsibilities of the Administrative Secretary for the Culture Department and Chief Executive Officer for the Economic Reconstruction Agency, J8K, until further orders.
