Vikramaditya reviews preparations for Annual Mela Kheer Bhawani 2026

Srinagar, May 9: Vikramaditya Singh, former MLC and Trustee, J&K Dharmarth Trust, today visited the Mata Kheer Bhawani Shrine at Ganderbal and reviewed preparations for the annual Mela Kheer Bhawani 2026, scheduled to be held on June 22, 2026.

During his visit, the Trustee offered prayers for peace, prosperity, communal harmony, and the well-being of the people of Jammu & Kashmir. He interacted with temple functionaries and officials of the J&K Dharmarth Trust and took detailed stock of the ongoing arrangements being made for the annual mela.

Vikramaditya Singh reviewed the preparations being undertaken by the J&K Dharmarth Trust in coordination with the District Administration, Ganderbal, for the convenience and safety of devotees expected to arrive from different parts of the country. Detailed discussions were held on sanitation, drinking water facilities, uninterrupted power supply, accommodation, medical aid, and security arrangements.

The Trustee also called on the Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal, and held a detailed meeting on various developmental and infrastructural matters pertaining to the Mata Kheer Bhawani Shrine and its adjoining areas. The discussions focused on augmentation of pilgrim facilities, strengthening of civic infrastructure, maintenance of cleanliness, and ensuring environmental protection around the shrine.

Vikramaditya Singh appreciated the support and cooperation being extended by the District Administration, Ganderbal, in the run-up to the annual mela.

He reiterated that the J&K Dharmarth Trust shall continue its endeavours towards safeguarding and promoting the rich religious and cultural legacy associated with its ancient shrines across Jammu & Kashmir.
