12-02-2023 : On Sunday, the seventh Operation Dost flight, carrying more than 23 tonnes of relief supplies, landed in earthquake-stricken Syria. Moutaz Douaji, the deputy minister of local administration and the environment, welcomed the aircraft at the airport in Damascus.
“The seventh OperationDost flight delivered almost 23 tonnes of aid to Syria, including generators, solar lights, emergency & critical care medications, and consumables for disaster assistance. Arindam Bagchi, a spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs, tweeted, “Received at Damascus airport by Deputy Minister of Local Administration and Environment Moutaz Douaji.”
On Saturday, the eighth Operation Dost flight departed for earthquake-stricken Turkey and Syria. The Indian Air Force C17 took off from Hindon Airbase in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, carrying medical supplies, emergency and critical care medications, medical equipment, and consumables.
