Arjun Tendulkar Opens Up About Wife Saaniya’s Quiet Support: “She Never Said Anything”

LSG All Rounder Opens Up on His Low-Key Lifestyle, Supportive Wife, and Ambitions Beyond Sachin Tendulkar’s Shadow

NEW DELHI: Arjun Tendulkar, son of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, offered fans a rare glimpse into his personal life, highlighting how grounded he remains despite growing up in the public eye.

Now playing for the Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2026, Arjun is determined to make a mark while balancing expectations both on and off the field. In a candid conversation with podcaster Shubhankar Mishra, he opened up about his newly-wed wife, Saaniya Chandhok, emphasizing her quiet yet unwavering support during his cricket journey.

“She never said anything. She has been supportive,” he revealed, dismissing any rumors that she influenced his team decisions.

Away from cricket, Arjun leads a surprisingly simple life. “I have five dogs in Goa, and I spend time playing with them,” he said. He also shared that his social circle is largely outside the cricketing world: “I don’t really have cricketer friends; most of my friends don’t play cricket.”

Despite being under constant scrutiny and facing online trolling, Arjun remains unbothered. “No, I’m not,” he said when asked if criticism affects him.

On the professional front, Arjun faces stiff competition at LSG after limited opportunities with Mumbai Indians. Reflecting on his cricketing inspiration, he mentioned Yuvraj Singh alongside his father, jokingly adding, “He was a spinner; I am a pacer.”

As the 26 year old all rounder embarks on this new chapter, the focus will be on establishing his own identity and delivering consistent performances, stepping out of the long shadow cast by his father’s legendary career.
