23-04-2023 : Arun Gupta, the incumbent President of the Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI), has been re-elected for another term in the recent elections held on Sunday. The newly elected team includes Anil Gupta as Senior Vice President, Rajiv Gupta as Junior Vice President, Manish Gupta as Secretary General, and Rajesh Gupta as Treasurer.
The election results were officially announced by Election President Shiv Pratap Gupta in a communiqué. Notably, the majority of the existing office bearers were re-elected.
Arun Gupta secured 1522 votes, defeating his closest rival Rakesh Gupta, former JCCI President, who received 1148 votes, with 15 votes declared invalid.
Anil Gupta secured 1697 votes and was elected as Senior Vice President, defeating Surinder Mahajan, his nearest rival, who secured 862 votes. The third candidate Rajinder Gupta received 116 votes, with 12 invalid votes.
Rajiv Gupta received 1632 votes and defeated Ashu Gupta, who secured 1017 votes, with 38 votes declared invalid, to become the Junior Vice President.
Manish Gupta won the post of Secretary General with 1467 votes, defeating Deepak Aggarwal, who secured 1013 votes. Ajay Langar stood third with 183 votes, with 24 invalid votes.
Rajesh Gupta was declared elected as Secretary, securing 1291 votes, while Mukesh Gupta (Mantu) secured 513 votes, and Raj Gupta secured 847 votes. 36 votes were deemed invalid.
For the post of Treasurer, Manik Gupta secured 926 votes, while Rajesh Gupta secured 1747 votes, and was declared elected as Treasurer.
The Election President expressed gratitude to the election committee, comprising of Manmohan Singh, Vijay Gupta, Anil Gupta, Kulbhushan Gupta, and the polling staff, for their efforts in conducting peaceful, free, fair, and transparent elections. The Election President also thanked all the members who participated in large numbers and cast their valuable votes to elect their future leaders for the term 2023-2025.
