Jammu, 11th August, 2026: Renowned theatre director and Natrang founder Balwant Thakur today launched the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ programme series at Natrang Studio Theatre, Jammu, with great enthusiasm and fanfare. The specially curated cultural series, which will culminate on 15th August 2026, aims to celebrate the spirit of patriotism and freedom through theatre, storytelling, music and other creative performances.
Organised by Natrang, the series seeks to engage young performers and audiences in a meaningful celebration of India’s Independence Day. Moving beyond the conventional format of rallies and routine ceremonial programmes, ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ will present a vibrant series of innovative cultural events highlighting inspiring stories from India’s freedom struggle and the sacrifices of its brave freedom fighters.
Speaking on the occasion, Balwant Thakur elaborated on the objective behind the initiative and said that patriotism becomes more meaningful when it is experienced through art, culture and collective participation. He emphasised that theatre has the unique ability to connect historical events with contemporary audiences, particularly the younger generation. Through these programmes, Natrang intends to create an atmosphere where young people can learn about the nation’s history while expressing their love for the country through their creative talent.
The inaugural programme witnessed enthusiastic participation by Natrang’s young artists, who presented a lively blend of cultural performances.
