UDHAMPUR, AUGUST 12: To take the stock of various ongoing developmental works undertaken by different departments in the district, today the District Development Council, Chairperson Udhampur Lal Chand convened a District Councils meeting of BDCs, DDCs, PRIs, and District officers to review the progress of estimation of the works approved under Capex budget 2021-22 in respect of District Udhampur at Conference Hall DC Office Complex Udhampur.
DDC Vice-Chairperson, Juhi Manhas Pathania, BDCs, DDCs, PRIs, Additional District Development Commissioner, Kanta Devi (JKAS) who is also the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Planning Officer, Rajeev Bhushan, Assistant Commissioner Development, Mushtaq Chowdhary, ACP, Navdeep Wazir, all BDOs and other Senior Officers were present in the meeting.
At the outset, ADDC Udhampur presented a welcome address and gave a sector-wise detailed PowerPoint presentation about the physical and financial progress for the year 2021-22 of various ongoing developmental works being executed by different departments in the district like PHE, PWD, PDD, Health, PMGSY, Forest, Education, JKEDA, Groundwater, YSS, Handloom. She informed the meeting that 50% authorization of the amount has been involved so far.
Threadbare discussions were held on various issues regarding development works including the status of PRIs, BDC and DDC Capex budget grants, Estimation status of RDD and other sector works, Status of works approved under B2B3 (Rupees 10 lacs per pyt, Status of Administrative approval, TS and tender processing, Status of location plan for power, JAKEDA, Jal Shakti, Mechanical and Groundwater drilling units, Abstract under Back to village-III Modalities for procurement of Ambulances by BDCs& DDCs, PMAY monitoring etc were discussed in detail.
While reviewing the sector-wise progress of various ongoing developmental works, the DDC Chairperson exhorted upon the executing agencies to speed up the pace of work of all developmental projects and schemes and to ensure their completion within the stipulated time frame.
Directions were issued to RDD to expedite tendering process within the fixed time frame ensuring desired quality and progress of the works in rural areas. The Chairperson exhorted upon the officers to maintain transparency and accountability in all the works being executed in the RDD sector in the District.
He impressed upon the officers to work with zeal and dedication to achieve the set targets during the current financial year and also stressed on close monitoring of ongoing works to ensure quality and adherence to timelines. Directions were issued to concerned officers to gear up men and machinery for effective and timely completion of these developmental projects. The DDC Chairperson directed ACD and BDOs to expedite the progress of works and complete estimation of B2V and 14th FC works and achieve the targets set by the Government as per the timeline.
