02-03-2023 : Professor Dr. Masood Tanvir has been appointed as the new Principal of Government Medical College Srinagar. The order states that Dr. Masood Tanvir Bhat, who is currently serving as the Professor and Head of the Department of Medicine at the Government Medical College in Srinagar, will assume the role of Principal from November 3, 2022.
It is worth noting that Dr. Masood Tanvir was appointed as the temporary Principal of GMC Srinagar in November 2022, following the retirement of the former Principal, Samia Rashid.
