JAMMU,12-12-2023: In a scathing attack on NC Patron Farooq Abdullah over his remark that J&K should go to hell (Bhaad Mein Jaaye Jammu Kashmir), senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta said that the use of abusive language by Farooq Abdullah shows the level of his frustration after SC’s verdict on Article 370 ended scope of Kashmir based parties to ‘blackmail’ centre anymore.
In a statement issued to media persons, Kavinder said that Farooq Abdullah’s response on the SC judgment has ultimately brought the truth to the fore that those people who under the guise of being people’s representatives were actually satiating their own vested interests by remaining in power using blackmailing tactics.
He said that PM Narendra Modi’s right step to abrogate Article 370 had shut their shops and now the endorsement of SC over the issue has furthered the cause leaving no scope for any party whatsoever to take undue advantage of either blackmailing or appeasement politics, and this is pinching the NC leadership, which has started resorting to hurl abuses on J&K and its people as these so-called well-wishers of Kashmiris have been exposed on all fronts especially when not a single voice was raised in their favour in Valley after August 5, 2019 happenings.
“It was NC and its ilk in Valley which used to enjoy absolute power for three generations in J&K after conniving with subsequent dispensations in the centre especially the ones headed by Congress, and looted and usurped the resources for years together but now when they are sure that those days will not come back, the party leadership wanted J&K to go to hell”, he said, adding that under the dynamic leadership of PM Narendra Modi no one can harm either the UT or its people.
The senior BJP leader emphasized that the Modi government is fully committed to steering Jammu and Kashmir to new heights of progress, peace, and prosperity and no power can stop this from becoming a reality.
