13-04-2022 : Cultural Cell of Govt. Degree College Dudu Basantgarh, on the occasion of 131st Birth Anniversary of Bharat Ratna Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, organized Quiz Competition on the theme “Be Educated, Be Organized, and Be Agitated”. The main objective of the programme was to make students aware about the contribution of Baba Saheb towards India of the Enlightened.
Four Teams namely Equality, Freedom, Liberty, and Fraternity, each team comprised of four students, took part in the competition. While outranking the other teams, team Fraternity exhibited their marvelous knowledge about the topic and stood 1st, whereas team Equality and Freedom shared the 2nd and 3rd position, respectively. At the end of the programme, all the participants were awarded with mementos.
The programme was hosted by Convener of the Cultural Cell, Prof. Rahul Sharma. He asked the students to follow the footsteps of Baba Saheb who served the country in an altruistic and philanthropic sense. While addressing the students, Prof. Pradeep Kumar Kundal motivated the students to take part in such events which can boost their morale alongside enriching their knowledge and wisdom. Dr. PP Singh also shed light on the life and services of Baba Saheb. He said that Baba Saheb has left a huge legacy in the form of social, political, environmental, cultural and religious reforms and innovations. Now, it becomes our responsibility to carry forward his ideas and principles for the betterment of our society and the country as a whole.
The programme was concluded with the vote of thanks presented by Prof. Vijay Kumar. The other staff members presented during the programme were Dr. Mudasir Ahmad, Dr. Nazir Ahmad, Prof. Aastha Gupta and Mr. Rish Paul.
