Security forces strategizing to deal with drone threats: IG CRPF Jammu

23-09-2021: In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, CRPF Inspector General of Jammu Sector P. S. Ranpise today said that drone threat is a new challenge and the security agencies are framing a comprehensive strategy to counter it.
He said that the security forces are constantly strategizing to deal with the ever-increasing threat of drones. He said, for this, not only the Central Government, but all security forces deployed in J&K are continuously framing strategies.
Worth to mention, the CRPF has also made elaborate security arrangements at all the pilgrimage sites and religious places in the region including the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine ahead of the Navratras.
The CRPF is also deployed for security in the hinterland and at all vital installations. The CRPF along with sister agencies like Army, Police, and other para-military forces, is also maintaining well-knitted synergy to counter-terrorism in the region.
Besides, the responsibility of the Road Opening Party (ROP) on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway is also with the CRPF and the troops deployed on the entire highway are not only facilitating smooth traffic movement but also keeping a hawk-eye on any mischievous happening particularly related to terrorist activity.
