Mumbai, Oct 17 : Veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha recently opened up about his close bond with the late Sanjeev Kumar, sharing insights into the personal struggles behind the celebrated actor’s untimely death. In a candid conversation with Koimoi in 2023, Sinha described Sanjeev Kumar as “an unmatchable talent” whose presence on screen was truly powerful.
Recalling their collaborations, Sinha said, “I had the privilege of doing several films with him Beraaham, Bad Aur Badnaam, and Qatl, which marked his final appearance. Then he passed away suddenly and left us.”
Speaking about Kumar’s death, Sinha revealed, “He died of a heart attack. But I’d say he died of a broken heart. The women he loved didn’t love him back, and those who loved him, he didn’t love in return. He wanted to marry only the woman his mother approved of.”
Shatrughan also shared personal anecdotes about the actor, highlighting his love for food and his playful habits on film sets. “Haribhai [Sanjeev Kumar] was a big foodie. Every woman who wanted to win him over cooked for him. We were both notorious latecomers on sets,” he recalled, offering fans a glimpse into the life of one of Bollywood’s most cherished talents.
