NEW DELHI, Apr 22: Marking the first anniversary of the tragic Pahalgam terror attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday reiterated the country’s unwavering determination to combat terrorism in all its forms, asserting that no act of violence can shake India’s unity or spirit.
In a message shared on social media platform X, the Prime Minister paid homage to the 26 innocent civilians who lost their lives in the attack, most of whom were tourists visiting the scenic region of Pahalgam. He described the incident as a deeply painful chapter in the nation’s recent history and emphasized that the victims will always be remembered.
“On this solemn day, we honour the memory of those who were taken from us in a senseless act of violence. Their lives remain etched in the heart of the nation,” the Prime Minister stated, extending his condolences to the families still grappling with the loss.
