JDA conducts encroachment drive in Sidhra, Majeen & Paloura

JAMMU, MAY 15: Under the supervision of Vice Chairman JDA, Rupesh Kumar, the Jammu Development Authority carried out a targeted anti-encroachment drive today at multiple locations in Sidhra, Majeen and Paloura.

Sidhra and Majeen: Several plinths and temporary structures on JDA land were identified and removed at a nascent stage to prevent the construction of larger, permanent structures. Early demolition prevented the escalation of encroachment and safeguarded the integrity of the Authority’s land holdings.

Paloura (opposite Lohan Park): Temporary structures erected on JDA land were demolished. Occupants were issued warnings to remove construction material from the site immediately.

Ward No. 52, Paloura: Demolition of unauthorized structures was also undertaken to restore public land and ensure unhindered access.

The drive was carried out in a coordinated manner to minimize disruption while enforcing land-use regulations. The Jammu Development Authority reiterates its commitment to protecting public land and preventing illegal construction. Further action will be taken against those who fail to comply with warnings, in accordance with applicable laws and JDA procedures.
