08-01-2023 : In Jammu and Kashmir, two terrorists were killed in Balakote sector of Poonch district in an overnight operation by security forces. The slain terrorists were involved in the killing of six civilians including two children on 1st January and 2nd January in two separate terror attacks in Upper Dhangri village in Rajouri district.
On Saturday evening, the alert army troops noticed a suspicious movement along the Line of Control (LoC) in Balakote sector and fired some speculative shots. Two terrorists were killed following a brief exchange of fire. A defence spokesperson said that the search operation is underway in the area.
