New Delhi, Aug 04 : The National Testing Agency (NTA) has initiated steps to strengthen examination security by floating a tender worth nearly ₹7.5 crore for improving safety arrangements at its offices and exam related facilities. The move comes after concerns over the integrity of competitive examinations and the need for stronger safeguards.
The proposed security upgrade aims to enhance monitoring systems and prevent unauthorised access to sensitive examination infrastructure. The agency is looking to reinforce protection mechanisms to ensure greater transparency and reliability in the conduct of national-level entrance tests.
The initiative follows growing demands from students and stakeholders for a more secure examination process after controversies surrounding paper leaks and irregularities in competitive exams. The NTA has been working on improving technology based monitoring, document protection, and operational security to restore confidence among candidates.
The agency conducts several major examinations, including NEET-UG, which serves as the entrance test for undergraduate medical admissions across India. The official NEET portal has also issued updates related to examination documents, results, and notices for candidates.
The latest measures are expected to play a key role in ensuring fair examinations and reducing risks associated with question paper handling and test administration.
