The reported figure stems from a profit-sharing arrangement that allowed the actor to benefit directly from the films’ commercial performance rather than receiving a conventional acting fee.
According to media reports, Ranveer opted against charging a fixed remuneration for the project and instead negotiated a share of the revenues generated from theatrical collections, satellite rights, digital streaming deals and music rights. The model is increasingly being adopted by leading actors seeking a larger stake in successful productions.
The two Dhurandhar films, initially envisioned as a single cinematic venture, emerged as major box-office successes. Reports further suggest that Ranveer contributed additional funds when production costs increased, a move that reportedly enhanced his profit participation in the project.
