Jammu, July 7, 2026: Sh. Tarun Singla, President of the Bari Brahmana Industries Association, was unanimously elected as Chairman of the Federation of Industries, Jammu, at a meeting of the Federation held today. The meeting was attended by Presidents and office bearers of the constituent industrial associations.
In accordance with the Constitution of the Federation of Industries, Jammu, the new team of office bearers was elected unanimously. Sh. Tarun Singla, President, Bari Brahmana Industries Association, was elected as Chairman. Sh. Virendra Jain, President, Association of Industries, Gangyal; Sh. Jatinder Aul, President, Association of Industries, Digiana; Sh. Gagan Jain, President, Birpur Industries Association; Sh. Ajit Lal Bawa, President, SSI Association, Kathua; and Sh. Raman Jolly, President, SSI Association, Samba, were elected as Co-Chairmen.
Sh. Sanjay Langer, General Secretary, Association of Industries, Gangyal, was elected as Secretary General, while Sh. Sachin Kapoor, General Secretary, Bari Brahmana Industries Association, was elected as Convener.
After assuming charge, Sh. Tarun Singla expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the constituent associations for reposing their trust and confidence in him. He also appreciated the contribution of the outgoing Chairman, Sh. Virendra Jain, for his dedicated leadership and valuable services towards the welfare, strengthening and development of the industrial sector in Jammu.
Addressing the members, Sh. Singla said the Federation would work in close coordination with the Government of Jammu and Kashmir and all stakeholders to create a progressive, competitive and industry-friendly environment in the Union Territory. He said FOIJ would continue to function as a united and responsible voice of the industrial fraternity and would make sincere efforts for the formulation of practical policies aimed at promoting industrial growth, employment generation and economic development.
He stated that the Federation would take up the long-pending issues of existing as well as new industrial units on priority. These include a comprehensive support package for the survival and sustainability of existing industries, turnover incentive without restrictive capping, interest subvention, freight subsidy, continuation of SGST reimbursement and other committed industrial incentives.
Sh. Singla further said the Federation would strongly pursue the timely release of GST-linked incentives to eligible units covered under substantial expansion, change in line of activity and additional line of manufacturing. He also underlined the need for stronger marketing support through government procurement reforms, including price and purchase preference for local industries.
He emphasized that strengthening industrial infrastructure, improving ease of doing business and ensuring policy stability would remain among the major priorities of the Federation. He said a stable and supportive policy environment is essential for industrial confidence, fresh investment and long-term employment creation in Jammu and Kashmir.
Sh. Singla reiterated that the Federation would work collectively with all industrial associations and maintain continuous dialogue with the Government to safeguard the interests of MSMEs as well as large industries. He said FOIJ would strive for balanced, inclusive and sustainable industrial development across Jammu and Kashmir.
