40-Year-Old Hunter Sunil Singh Found Dead with Firearm Injury in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba District

22-11-2023 : In a somber incident in the Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir, a 40-year-old hunter, identified as Sunil Singh, was discovered lifeless with a firearm injury near his farm on Wednesday. According to officials, Singh sustained a gunshot wound to the head during a hunting expedition in the Gurha Slathia forest area, and it appears that he succumbed to his injuries on the spot.

The officials reported that Singh’s licensed 12-bore gun was found beside his lifeless body, which has been subsequently removed from the scene for a postmortem examination. In an effort to determine the precise cause of his demise, the police have initiated inquest proceedings. At this stage, it remains premature to definitively state whether Singh’s death resulted from a self-inflicted gunshot or if he was shot by someone else.
