Nami Dogri Sanstha Pays Tributes to Tabla Legend Zakir Hussain and Duggar’s Cultural Icons

Jammu, 18-12-2024: Nami Dogri Sanstha, in a specially called meeting of its Executive and  Life Members, condoled the death of legendary tabla masterio  and son of the soil legendary Zakir Hussain and lakhtezigar  of great “Tabla Masterio”  Jenab  Allah  Rakha Ji,  originally hailing from Hiranagar tehsil of Jammu. Eminent and tall artist Zakir Hussain and his family were remembered for enhancing the pride of Duggar, both at national and international levels.

Rich tributes were also paid to the Late Ashok Gupta former Editor Shiraza and employee of J&K Academy of Art, Culture, and Languages, for his services towards his mother tongue, dogri, and Saita Poonchi, wife of Pt. Suresh   Poonchi life member of NDS. She bravely fought her long ailment. The late Shri Som Nath Saproo, father of famous music composer Kuldeep Saproo was paid homage on his demise.  Two minutes of silence were observed to pay obeisance to the departed souls .
