Notorious criminal arrested in Jammu, wanted in multiple cases

JAMMU, Feb 15:  In a significant breakthrough in law enforcement, the Jammu district police have successfully apprehended a notorious criminal, wanted in multiple criminal cases. The accused, identified as Simranjot Singh alias Simran, a resident of Chatha Pind, Jammu, has been implicated in a series of grave offenses, including attempted murder, armed assault, and unlawful possession of weapons.

According to an official police statement, the accused had been evading arrest despite being named in at least ten First Information Reports (FIRs) lodged at various police stations across the district. His prolonged absconding had posed a challenge to law enforcement agencies, necessitating coordinated efforts for his capture.

Acting on specific intelligence inputs, joint teams from Police Station Satwari and Police Station Miran Sahib launched a strategic operation that culminated in the successful arrest of the accused. The police official further emphasized that the arrest of Simranjot Singh has brought a sense of relief to the residents of Chatha and the adjoining areas, who had been distressed by his continued criminal activities.

Further investigation is underway to ascertain his involvement in other criminal conspiracies. Authorities have reiterated their commitment to maintaining law and order, ensuring that habitual offenders are brought to justice in accordance with the law.
