AOI Gangyal Hosts Labour Day, Emphasizes Worker Rights and Employer-Employee Harmony
AOI Gangyal and Labour Department unite to honor workers, promote rights awareness, and strengthen employer-employee harmony on Labour Day.
Jammu, 01-05-2025: Association of Industries (Regd.) Gangyal, in collaboration with the Labour Department, celebrated the “Labour Day” today on 1st May, 2025, at AOI Bhawan, Gangyal. A large number of workers and factory owners participated in the impressive function.
The event provided a valuable platform for officials from the Labour Department to present new schemes and inform workers about their rights. The function was graced by the Labour Commissioner, S. Charandeep Singh (JKAS) as Chief Guest. Chief Accounts Officer Provident Fund and ESIC, Madam Nimisha Anand, and Assistant Labour Commissioner Madam Rupali Jasrotia (JKAS) along with their team, also participated in the event. The celebration highlighted the importance of workers’ rights and the labour department’s commitment to supporting the industrial community. The chief guest apprised the present audience of the importance of Labour Day and also the duties & rights of the labour. He also emphasized that good relations between the employees and the employer are a roadmap towards the development of the industries and the country in turn.
The event was presided over by the President of AOI, Gangyal Sh. Virendra Jain, and attended by Vice President Sh. Sandeep Ohri, General Secretary, Sh. Sanjay Langar, Treasurer S. Jatinder Singh, and a large number of entrepreneurs.
Sh. Virendra Jain thanked the Labour Department for organizing the celebration of Labour Day at the AOI office. He emphasized on the need of cordial relations between the employees and the employer and also said that the labour department should act as a facilitator.
On this day chief guest, Labour Commissioner apprised the present audience of the importance of Labour Day and also the duties and the rights of the labour. The scheme for the welfare of employees were presented by Sh. Sanjay Bhat, Ms. Shivika Sharma from the Labour Department, and Ms. Savita Sharma from the Child Development Department. Dr. Perkin Raina from ESIC explained the various beneficiary schemes of ESIC for the workers.
The meeting was conducted by Sh. Sanjay Langar, General Secretary of the Association of Industries, Gangyal, and Ms. Shivika Sharma from the Labour Department.
