Weekly Block Diwas events held in Poonch
The DDC, after listening to the issues and demands, gave on the spot directions to the concerned departments for early redress of the genuine problems raised on the occasion.
POONCH, JANUARY 06: District Administration Poonch, under the overall supervision of District Development Commissioner, Rahul Yadav on Wednesday organized Block Diwas proceedings to listen to the issues and grievances of the people.
The District Development Commissioner, Poonch presided over the Block Diwas function at Mandi.
A series of activities were also organized at different places of the district including Poonch, Mendhar, and Surankote.
During the Programme at Mandi, PRI members and locals raised demands of their areas seeking augmentation of water and power supply, medicare facilities, construction of road from Gungam to Brachar, blacktopping of Loran- Sawjian road, etc and other issues related to day to day life.
The DDC, after listening to the issues and demands, gave on the spot directions to the concerned departments for early redress of the genuine problems raised on the occasion. He assured the public that all their genuine grievances will be resolved in a time-bound manner.
On the occasion, the DDC also made the public aware of the Forest Rights Act and urged upon them to contribute to ensuring the safety of forests which is a valuable gift of nature to mankind.
To cater to the demand for medicines, the DDC directed BMO to submit a proposal for opening a fair prize medical store in Mandi.
