Engineers To Remain Vital In India’s Journey Towards Viksit Bharat: PM Modi
On Engineers’ Day, Prime Minister pays tribute to M. Visvesvaraya and hails engineers for driving innovation and nation-building
New Delhi, Sep 15: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday extended greetings on the occasion of Engineers’ Day, underlining the pivotal role of engineers in shaping a “Viksit Bharat.”
Engineers’ Day is observed annually to honor the contributions of engineers and to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sir M. Visvesvaraya, the legendary civil engineer and administrator.
In a message on X, PM Modi said, “Today, on Engineers’ Day, I pay homage to Sir M. Visvesvaraya, whose brilliance left an indelible mark on India’s engineering landscape. I extend warm greetings to all engineers who, through their creativity and determination, continue to drive innovation and tackle tough challenges across sectors.”
Reiterating their significance in India’s growth journey, the Prime Minister added, “Our engineers will continue playing a crucial role in the collective efforts to build a Viksit Bharat.”
