Authorities Conduct Security Sweep After Threats Trigger Evacuation in Delhi Schools
NEW DELHI, Sep 20: Panic erupted in multiple schools across Delhi on Saturday morning after bomb threats were reported, prompting immediate action by police and bomb disposal squads, officials said.
Among the schools that received threats were Delhi Public School (DPS) Dwarka, Krishna Model Public School, and Sarvodaya Vidyalaya. Students and staff were evacuated as a precaution while authorities conducted thorough searches of the campuses.
Senior police officials confirmed that search operations are ongoing. “We are meticulously inspecting all areas. So far, nothing suspicious has been detected,” an officer said.
At Sarvodaya Vidyalaya in South Delhi, authorities declared the threat a hoax after a detailed inspection by police and the bomb disposal squad. Other affected schools continue to undergo rigorous security checks to ensure the safety of students and staff.
