40th Annual Conference organized by AMK at Baramulla

A poetry booklet "Neele Nabbech Kath" written by Syed Masood Shadab was also released on the occasion.

BARAMULLA, JANUARY 10: Adbi Markaz Kamraz(AMK), Jammu and Kashmir, today organized it’s 40th annual conference at Dak Bungalow Baramulla under the chairmanship of noted writer and scholar, prof. Mohammad Zaman Azurda.

On the occasion, Vice-Chancellor, Islamic University of Science and Technology prof. Mushtaq Ahmed Siddique was the chief guest while an eminent writer and critic Wahshi Sayeed as a guest of honour in the conference.

Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr. G. N. Itoo besides noted writers, intellectuals, educationists, poets, critics, district officers, social workers and prominent citizens were present in the programme.

Eminent writer and critic Mushtaq Ahmed Mushtaq during the conference read a paper on the topic “new education policy and the Kashmiri language” while Prof. Ajaz Ahmed Wani, Director North Campus, Prof. Naseer Iqbal, Registrar, Islamic University, Prof. Bashar Bashir and others presented their viewpoints.

During the 40th annual conference, Sharfi Kamraz Award, 2020 was given to the writer, poet, and scholar Fayaz Tilgami, while two awards of Khilate Hanfi Sopori, 2020 were awarded to District Development Commissioner, Baramulla Dr. G. N. Itoo and a famous writer and scholar Shabbir Ahmed Shabbir.

A poetry booklet “Neele Nabbech Kath” written by Syed Masood Shadab was also released on the occasion.

Vice-Chancellor Islamic University and DDC Baramulla while speaking at the conference assured their full support for promotion and preservation of Kashmiri language.

Rich tributes were paid to late Prof. Mashal Sultanpori, Dr G M Aajar, and all other personalities who put their efforts in strengthening Adbi Markaz Kamraz.

Patron of Adbi Markaz Kamraz Dr. Aziz Hajni presented his special speech on mobile phone during the conference and thanked all the guests.
