RAJOURI, Oct 1: A soldier sustained injuries in an accidental firearm discharge while cleaning his weapon in Rajouri district, Jammu division, officials said on Wednesday.
The incident caused a chest injury, and the soldier was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where his condition is reported to be stable.
Authorities have taken cognizance of the incident, and a formal investigation has been initiated to determine the circumstances surrounding the mishap.
