Centre for Molecular Biology, CU Jammu Organizes CV/Resume Building Workshop for the Students
Jammu, 05 Oct 2025: The Centre of Molecular Biology under the guidance and patronage of the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sanjeev Jain organised the resume writing workshop in close collaboration with the training and placement cell of Central University of Jammu. The workshop on the resume and CV writing was attended by the students of Integrated B.Sc.-M.Sc. Biotechnology, M.Sc. Biotechnology, and scholars of the Centre. Director, CMB, Dr. Narendra K Bairwa formally welcomed Mr. Surykash Dubey, the resource person of the workshop and all the participants including faculty members of the Centre.
During the workshop resource persons interacted with students through question/ answer sessions and implementation of essential tools for effective implementation of academic achievement, showcase of skill set and experiences and be ready for the entering into the job market after completion of the academic journey. Mr. Surykash Dubey, Assistant TPO interacted with the students and oriented them about purpose, formatting, tailoring of the CV. The resource person also updated the participants of the workshop about the recent placement of the students of CMB in the biotech sectors.
The workshop was conducted with the aim of preparing students for job-oriented skill development so that they can have a resume and CV that can have competitive advantages. Overall, the workshop provided the platform to address and learn about the basic aspect of showcasing strengths through the CV/ Resume writing. The Director of CMB, Dr. Narendra K Bairwa, appreciated the participation of all the students of CMB and the Faculty members for their interactions with the resource persons and guiding students for the crucial aspect of resume writing in their journey to the placement. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Sudhir Singh, CMB and Dr. Fareeda Akhtar, CMB. The event ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Sudhir Singh, Assistant Professor, CMB.
