Mumbai, Oct 12 : Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor Khan paid a heartfelt tribute to Hollywood legend Diane Keaton, who passed away at the age of 79 on Saturday. The actress, known for her love of classic cinema, shared a list of her favourite Diane Keaton films on Instagram Stories, remembering the Oscar-winning star for her iconic roles and timeless performances.
Kareena highlighted The First Wives Club (1996) as one of her top picks. The comedy-drama, directed by Hugh Wilson and based on Olivia Goldsmith’s novel, saw Keaton play Annie MacDuggan, an anxious housewife who joins forces with friends played by Bette Midler and Goldie Hawn to confront their ex-husbands. Kareena described the role as one of Keaton’s most relatable and humorous performances.
Another standout in Kareena’s list was Marvin’s Room (1996), in which Keaton starred alongside Meryl Streep and Leonardo DiCaprio. The film tells the story of estranged sisters reconnecting after one is diagnosed with a serious illness. Keaton’s portrayal of Bessie, a devoted woman caring for her ailing father, earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress.
