Jammu 13th October, 2015: In a heartening and proud moment for Jammu and the region’s art fraternity, four young artists of Natrang viz Supriya Gorka, Ruhaan Chandan, Advik Sharma, and Viyaan Sharma, have brought laurels to Jammu by making it the the Final Round of Jhankriti 2025-the 4th edition of India’s Biggest Virtual Performing Arts Competition. The event is being organized by The World Forum for Art and Culture, the cultural wing of The Art of Living Foundation, Bangalore.
It isl historic that four out of the twelve finalists amongst thousands in the Solo Theatre category of Jhankriti 2025 are from Natrang, Jammu, marking an extraordinary milestone for the institution. Congratulating the young achievers, Padmashri Balwant Thakur, Director of Natrang, termed this accomplishment a momentous achievement and a reflection of the organization’s unwavering commitment to nurturing young talent.
Among the finalists, Supriya Gorka of Natrang , a National Scholarship holder and one of Natrang’s most promising child artists, received the maximum number of likes and views across online platforms among all participating genres — a testament to her widespread popularity and artistic excellence.
Jhankriti 2025 stands as a radiant ode to India’s cultural legacy and the Art of Living’s vision of uniting hearts through art. The platform is not merely a stage for performance but a vibrant space where aspiring talents from across the nation come together to express creativity, share heritage, and connect with maestros of Indian art. Thousands of participants showcase their talent across various genres, progressing through multiple competitive rounds to earn a place in the prestigious finals.
By making it to this coveted final stage, Natrang’s young artists have reaffirmed the institute’s excellence in futuristic theatre training and its pivotal role in shaping the next generation of performers.
For over 35 years, Natrang has been conducting regular theatre programs for children, inspiring and training thousands of young minds who have gone on to excel not only in the arts but also in diverse fields such as civil services, business, engineering, medicine, and academia.
