Rajnath Singh: Entire Pakistan Within BrahMos Range, Operation Sindoor Just a Preview
Rajnath Singh flags off first batch of locally manufactured BrahMos missiles in Lucknow, calls Operation Sindoor “just a trailer”
Lucknow, Oct 18: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday stated that every inch of Pakistan lies within the range of India’s BrahMos missiles, adding that the recent Operation Sindoor was only a “trailer” of India’s strike capabilities.
Singh made the remarks after he, along with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, flagged off the first batch of BrahMos missiles manufactured at the newly established BrahMos Aerospace unit in Sarojini Nagar, Lucknow.
The Defence Ministry highlighted that the new facility has successfully produced its inaugural batch of missiles, marking a key milestone for the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor (UPDIC). The launch underscores India’s growing self-reliance in defence manufacturing and strengthens the armed forces’ operational capabilities.
“The BrahMos has become a key pillar of our armed forces, and it reinforces our belief that India can turn its strategic visions into reality,” Singh said.
The state-of the art BrahMos unit, inaugurated on May 11, is equipped with modern facilities for missile integration, testing, and final quality checks, ensuring missiles are deployment ready after rigorous trials.
Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, and senior officials were present during the flag-off ceremony.
