R Madhavan unveils striking first look as inventor G.D. Naidu in biopic ‘G.D.N.’

Mumbai, Oct 27 : Actor R. Madhavan is set to portray the life of India’s legendary inventor and industrialist Gopalaswamy Doraiswamy Naidu popularly known as the “Edison of India” in his upcoming biopic G.D.N.

The teaser opens inside a dimly lit workshop, where Madhavan, as Naidu, is seen welding with precision. When he lifts his protective mask, viewers are introduced to an intense and aged visage, perfectly capturing the visionary inventor’s persona.

Sharing the teaser on social media, Madhavan wrote, “The spirit of G.D. Naidu is now officially unveiled. A story of unmatched vision, towering ambition, and unwavering resolve. We proudly present the first look teaser of ‘G.D.N.’.”

Directed by Krishnakumar Ramakumar and produced by Varghese Moolan Pictures in association with Tricolour Films, G.D.N. celebrates the journey of a self taught genius who revolutionized Indian technology. Naidu’s innovations ranged from India’s first indigenous electric motor and petrol engines to ticketing machines and advanced agricultural tools.

The film features music by Govind Vasantha and a talented ensemble cast including Priyamani, Jayaram, and Yogi Babu in key roles.

Fans were recently captivated by Madhavan’s look from the sets, where the actor appeared almost unrecognizable. He expressed gratitude on social media, writing, “Another day… another look. So very blessed and grateful to have the most extraordinary cast, crew, and wonderful producers. #GDN.”

Apart from G.D.N., Madhavan will also be seen alongside Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh in De De Pyaar De 2, further expanding his diverse film lineup.
