Delhi’s Air Quality Persists in ‘Poor’ Category
Wazirpur records highest AQI at 333 as pollution levels continue to rise
New Delhi, Nov 1: Delhi’s air quality continued to remain in the ‘poor’ category on Saturday, with the overall Air Quality Index (AQI) rising to 251, up from 218 recorded a day earlier, according to data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
As per CPCB’s Sameer app, Wazirpur reported the highest AQI at 333, falling in the ‘very poor’ category. Eight monitoring stations across the national capital recorded ‘very poor’ air quality, while the remaining areas remained under the ‘poor’ category.
Authorities have urged residents to limit outdoor activities and follow pollution advisories as air quality continues to deteriorate with the onset of winter.
