Udhampur: Students, ICDS functionaries attend, national web seminar on Girl Child

UDHAMPUR, JANUARY 22: The Students and functionaries of ICDS Udhampur today participated in a web seminar on “Skilling to Empowerment, Holistic approach towards Women-led development and making girls future-ready” conducted by the Union Ministry of Women and Child Development.
The web seminar was attended by Attar Chand, DPO ICDS, CDPOs, staff of MSK, Supervisors, Health Nutrition Mobilizers, Front line workers, AWWs, and Officials of ICDS Projects.
On the occasion, a Key-note address was delivered by the Nodal Officer, Beti Bachao (BBBP) Attar Chand regarding the declining Child Sex ratio (CSR) and sex ratio at Birth (SRB) in the District.
He briefed about the BBBP scheme and the interventions like mass communication campaign, capacity building, and multi-sectoral interventions made at various levels to improve the CSR and SRB.
The students of BBSVP and Vivek Niketan Academy also participated in the Online Slogan-writing/drawing/Painting /Poetry competition. The beneficiaries of AWCs of different projects also participated in the offline writing/Drawing/Painting /Poetry competition.
