Prime Minister vows swift action as investigation continues into the high-intensity explosion that killed 12
Thimphu, Nov 11: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday assured that all conspirators behind the Delhi blast, which claimed 12 lives, will be brought to justice. Speaking at the Changlimithang celebration ground in Bhutan, Modi described Monday’s explosion near the Red Fort metro station as “horrifying” and expressed solidarity with the victims’ families.
“I understand the plight of those affected by the blast. Today, the entire nation stands with the families of the victims. All those responsible for it will be brought to justice,” the prime minister said.
Modi added that he had convened with investigative agencies overnight to ensure a thorough probe into the incident. “Our agencies will get to the bottom of the conspiracy, and no conspirator will be spared,” he emphasized.
The blast occurred in a slow moving Hyundai i20 at a traffic signal near the Red Fort metro station on Monday evening, killing 12 people and damaging multiple vehicles.
Prime Minister Modi had arrived in Bhutan earlier on Tuesday for a two day visit to join the 70th birthday celebrations of Bhutan’s fourth king, Jigme Singye Wangchuck.
