NDA Outpaces INDIA Bloc in Bihar Polls, Leads on 111 Assembly Seats

NDA Maintains Strong Lead in Bihar, Ahead in 111 Seats; INDIA Bloc Trails at 33

Patna, Nov 14: The ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) maintained a decisive lead in the Bihar assembly elections, securing an advantage in 111 constituencies, compared to 33 seats where the opposition INDIA bloc was ahead, according to early trends on the Election Commission’s website.

The BJP led in 48 seats, followed by JD(U) in 44, LJP (Ram Vilas) in 13, and HAM in three. On the opposition side, the RJD held leads in 23 constituencies, the Congress in seven, and the Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) in one.

Among other contenders, the Plurals Party and an independent candidate were leading in one seat each. Counting is currently underway across all 243 assembly constituencies.

In key battles, BJP’s Shreyasi Singh was ahead in Jamui by 2,539 votes, outperforming RJD’s Mohammad Shamsad Alam. In Mahua, JJD founder Tej Pratap Yadav slipped to third position after the first round, while LJP (RV)’s Sanjay Kumar Singh led over RJD’s Mukesh Kumar.

Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha trailed in Lakhisarai, whereas Congress candidate Amaresh Kumar held a narrow lead of just 79 votes.

JD(U)’s Anant Kumar Singh led in Mokama by 2,716 votes, ahead of RJD’s Veena Devi. In Danapur, RJD’s Rit Lal Roy, who contested from jail, maintained a strong lead of 7,936 votes, leaving BJP’s Ram Kripal Yadav trailing.

BJP’s Nitin Nabin led by 2,043 votes in Bankipur, while RJD’s Rekha Kumari trailed. In Paliganj, CPIM(L) Liberation’s Sandeep Saurav was ahead by 241 votes, with LJP (RV)’s Sunil Kumar behind.
