Bihar CM Oath Ceremony Menu: Litti-Chokha and Makhana Kheer Served to Special Guests
Traditional cuisine, multi state menu, and folk performances arranged for high-profile guests
Bihar, Nov 20 : The Bihar government and the organising committee have curated an elaborate and culturally enriched experience for special guests attending the swearing in ceremony in Patna on Thursday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Chief Ministers from nearly a dozen NDA and BJP ruled states were among the distinguished attendees welcomed with a lavish spread of Bihar’s signature cuisine.
To greet the dignitaries, a range of traditional snacks and delicacies including Nimki, Dhokla, Mathri, Barh ki Laai, and Gujiya was prepared. A private hotel has been tasked with managing refreshments in the hangars and the green room at Gandhi Maidan, with staff undergoing special training to ensure seamless service during the event.
The star attractions of the menu are Litti-Chokha and Makhana Kheer, crafted using authentic and traditional methods by the culinary team. Several other Bihari dishes are also part of the spread, offering guests a complete taste of the state’s rich gastronomic heritage.
However, the menu extends beyond Bihar. To honour the visiting leaders from across the country, the hotel is also preparing popular dishes from Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Odisha, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Manipur, turning the ceremony into a diverse culinary celebration.
Alongside food and hospitality, extensive security and logistical arrangements have been put in place. Ambulances, medical staff, and emergency facilities have been stationed around Gandhi Maidan and guest accommodations to ensure a swift response to any unexpected situation.
Special seating, reception areas, and guest facilities have been created to accommodate the high-profile attendees.
Adding to the cultural ambience, a vibrant programme featuring folk artists including Maithili Thakur will showcase Bihar’s traditional music, dance, and folk songs, immersing guests in the state’s rich artistic heritage.
The comprehensive arrangements at Gandhi Maidan reflect the government’s effort to transform the oath taking event into a celebration of Bihar’s cultural, social, and culinary identity creating a memorable experience for dignitaries and the people of the state alike.
