Milad arrangements finalized in Baramulla

BARAMULLA, NOVEMBER 10: – Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr. Nasir Ahmad Naqash today convened a meeting to finalize the arrangements put in place for the smooth celebrations of Eid-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) in the district.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Baramulla Farooq Ahmad Baba, CMO, Dy Director Fire & Emergency, Engineers of line departments, Auqaf Committee members, and various other concerned officers attended the meeting.

On the occasion, various members of Auqaf Committees appraised the DC about various demands including uninterrupted power supply during these days. They also demanded gen sets be provided for some shrines. The DC assured of fulfilling their demands.

Meanwhile, the DC directed the concerned officers to ensure uninterrupted power and drinking water supply to the devotees who are expected to throng the Dargah Alliya (old town) Khankah Maulla Sopore and Takia Tapper shrines during the holy days. He directed EOs of Municipal Committees of Baramulla, Sopore and Pattan to ensure cleanliness in and around the shrines in their respective areas of jurisdiction and install lights wherever necessary. He also directed the concerned officers to ensure availability of essential commodities including, rice, atta, sugar, LPG and K-Oil etc.

The DC directed the Health Department to ensure availability of medical facilities and first aid facility at the venues.
