J&K Police Arrest Teen Over Suspected Terror Connections
Teen from Reasi allegedly radicalised online and in contact with foreign handlers; digital devices seized for investigation
Jammu, Nov 27: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday arrested a 19 year old teenager in connection with suspected terror activities. Authorities are examining digital devices seized from his possession as part of an ongoing investigation.
A police spokesperson said the accused, originally from Reasi district and currently residing in the Bathindi area, is emerging as a key suspect in terror related activities. An FIR (No. 331/2025) under Section 113(3) BNS has been registered at Police Station Bahu Fort.
“Preliminary investigations revealed that the accused was being radicalised online and was allegedly planning to carry out a terror act,” the spokesperson added.
Officials also stated that the teenager had been in contact via mobile phone with certain numbers based in Pakistan and other foreign countries. The seized devices are being thoroughly analyzed to uncover further links and activities.
Police confirmed that detailed questioning of the suspect is underway and a comprehensive probe is in progress to prevent any potential threats.
