Dogra Law College Organizes One-Day Capacity Building Programme on Soft Skills

1st December 2025, Bari Brahmana, Samba: Dogra Law College successfully organized a One-Day Capacity Building Programme on Soft Skills at the Auditorium, Dogra Educational Complex. The event aimed to strengthen students’ communication, leadership, personality development, and professional competency skills that are essential for their overall growth in the field of law.

The programme began with an engaging beginning by Ms. Mannat Angral, followed by a Welcome Address delivered by Ms. Navdeep Kour, Member IQAC, Dogra Law College, who emphasized the importance of continuous skill enhancement in legal education.

A solemn Lighting of the Ceremonial Lamp accompanied by Saraswati Vandana symbolized the pursuit of knowledge and enlightenment. To honour the distinguished resource persons, saplings were presented as a token of respect and appreciation symbolizing growth, learning, and meaningful contribution to the academic community.

The programme featured enriching and interactive sessions led by Mr. Owais Ali, Director Chanakya Academy and Mr. Jagteshwar Singh, JKAS. Their lectures focused on practical dimensions of soft skills, including confidence building, professional ethics, effective communication, and leadership. Through real-life examples and motivational insights, they provided students with actionable strategies to enhance their personality and professional readiness.

A Special Address was delivered by Dr. Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary, Dogra Educational Trust, who highlighted the pivotal role of soft skills in shaping well-rounded, efficient, and socially responsible legal professionals. Dignitaries also presented mementos to the resource persons as a gesture of gratitude. The event was also graced by Dr. Dharamveer Sharma, Dean, Dogra Group of Colleges and Dr. Jay Prakash Srivastava, Principal, Dogra Law College.
The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Ms. Khushhali Bashshist, Member IQAC, Dogra Law College, followed by the National Anthem and a Group Photograph, marking the culmination of an inspiring and productive programme.
