33 Indigo Flights From Hyderabad Likely to Be Cancelled
Passengers face delays and inconvenience as airline cites operational and technical issues
Hyderabad, Dec 4: A total of 33 outbound IndiGo flights from Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) are expected to be cancelled on Thursday, airport sources said. In addition, 35 incoming flights may also face cancellations during the day.
The airline had already cancelled 19 flights from Hyderabad on Wednesday.
Passengers expressed frustration over the disruptions. “We have been at Hyderabad Airport from yesterday 6:00 PM until today 9:00 AM over 12 hours with no action taken by IndiGo regarding the Pune flight. This situation has caused significant inconvenience,” one netizen posted on Thursday. Another flyer said, “Total chaos at Hyderabad airport today flights delayed 12+ hours. To not provide accommodation, they kept pushing it by ‘just 2 more hours’ repeatedly. Same excuse: crew is coming soon. Unacceptable.”
RGIA, in a statement on Wednesday, said some IndiGo flights have been affected due to airline related technology and operational issues, leading to delays and cancellations. Passengers are advised to contact IndiGo’s customer service directly for the latest flight updates. The airport confirmed that overall operations at RGIA remain normal.
