Shiv Sena demands removal of uncertainty, provide mental relief to the students

Sharp tone and silence deepen confusion: Sahni

Jammu: Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu and Kashmir unit chief Manish Sahni has demanded a speedy resolution of the admissions dispute at the Shri Mata Vaishnodevi Institute of Medical Excellence and an end to the uncertainty and confusion among students about their future.
In a press conference held today at the party’s state headquarters, state chief Manish Sahni said that due to the ongoing protests and political turmoil, students are scared and see uncertainty hanging over their future. Sahni said that it is natural for Hindu organizations to protest and come to the streets due to 85-90% of the seats being given to students from other communities in a medical college run by a Hindu shrine. Hindu students should be given priority, keeping religious beliefs in mind.
But the situation of confusion is deepening due to the sharp attitude of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and the silence of the Lieutenant Governor. Students are in a state of uncertainty and confusion about their future. Sahni said that some so-called Hindu leaders are also raising questions about the running of the medical college by the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board. They have forgotten that since ancient times, Gurukuls were run by Hindu monasteries and temples in India. Sahni has demanded the immediate intervention of the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir (who is the Chairman of the Shrine Board) and the Central Government to find a peaceful solution to the matter, remove the confusion and provide mental relief to the students.
