JAMMU, JANUARY 28- In a series of interactive sessions Commissioner Secretary, Industries and Commerce, Manoj Kumar Dwivedi today met delegations of J&K Walnut Exporters Association, J&K Plywood Manufacturing Association, and PHDCCI- Jammu at Civil Secretariat here.
All the Associations in one voice expressed gratitude to the Government for announcing the revised J&K Industrial Development Scheme 2021. The delegations expressed that the scheme will go a long way in boosting the Industrial Sector of Jammu and Kashmir.
On the occasion, the delegates presented a memorandum for consideration of the Government which included up-gradation of infrastructure in the Industrial Estates, Skill Development and Labour-related incentives, Industrial benefits to hotels, Special Package of the revival of Sick units, Rationalization of duty regime on walnut in-shell and Support to Wood-based Industry.
Dwivedi assured the delegations full support in measures which will help in boosting the Industrial Sector in J&K. Several on spot directions were issued by the Commissioner Secretary for the amelioration of issues highlighted by the industry.
