East Delhi School Evacuated Following Bomb Threat; Security Sweep Ongoing
Lovely Public School in Laxmi Nagar cleared as bomb disposal squads and police conduct search following threat call
New Delhi, Dec 10: A bomb threat at a private school in east Delhi’s Laxmi Nagar led to a swift evacuation on Wednesday morning, authorities said.
The Delhi Fire Services (DFS) reported that a call around 10:40 am claimed an explosive device had been planted inside Lovely Public School. The information was immediately passed on to local police, fire services, and other emergency agencies.
Fire tenders, bomb disposal squads, police teams, and dog squads were deployed to the school. Students, teachers, and staff were evacuated as a precaution, and the premises were cordoned off.
Officials confirmed that the search conducted so far has not revealed any suspicious object. Authorities continue to investigate and maintain a high alert as a safety measure.
