UP Legislature Winter Session Scheduled to Begin December 19
Session to include supplementary budget presentation, debates on power privatisation and Special Intensive Revision
UP, Dec 10 : The Uttar Pradesh Legislature is set to commence its winter session on December 19, with the brief four day sitting scheduled to conclude on December 24.
The decision to convene the session was finalised during a cabinet meeting held by circulation on Tuesday night.
During the session, the Yogi Adityanath government is expected to present the first supplementary budget on December 22, with approval slated for December 24, sources said on Wednesday.
The winter session will also see intense discussions between the treasury and opposition benches on issues such as the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) and the privatisation of the state’s power sector.
On the first day, the assembly will hold condolence references for the late SP MLA Sudhakar Singh before proceeding with the legislative agenda.
