Mumbai, Jan 09— The fourth season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 is set to begin with a glamorous pre-match show ahead of the opening clash on Friday at DY Patil Stadium. Fans can expect a vibrant mix of music, dance, and inspirational messages before the first ball is bowled.
According to the official WPL announcement, Yo Yo Honey Singh, Bollywood star Jacqueline Fernandez, and former Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu will headline the pre-match entertainment, promising a high energy and star studded start to the much-anticipated tournament.
The season opener will feature two of the league’s top teams, captained by Harmanpreet Kaur (MI) and Smriti Mandhana (RCB). The match is being billed as the WPL’s “El Clasico,” given the rivalry, star power, and fan following of the two sides.
